Please go easy as it is my first blog.
Looking for a cheap holiday is possible especially when you are on a university budget. The first place I look for cheap flight is skyscanner

https://www.skyscanner.net
I found lots of cheap flights from £20 - £100 which also included return flights as we all know airlines get their money back with return flights sometimes double or triple the prices.
Anyway I was scrolling around looking for places that was also cheap in the city especially in capital cities where it is normally expensive for food and hotel stay. I finally found a Prague in which the flight were £26 including return flights from London Stansted Airport and the city was cheap. Plus Prague is the capital city of Czech Republic. Prague is best known for its beautiful architecture and beers.

I was looking at hotels and hostels on hostelworld and hotels.com for a place to stay for 5 days. However I was travelling with two filmmakers so total there were three filmmakers and one business man, so I thought about emailing the hotels and hostels who might be interested in a promotional video of their hotel/hostel in exchange for a room for 4 people. Casey Neistat gave me the idea as he would get a hotel room upgrade because he gave a shoutout. By no means do I think I am famous or a celebrity.

After emailing a few hotels and hostels two of them replied to my email but the one I went with was Plus Prague Hostels. It was out of the town centre which I like as you get to meet the locals which they can give you great recommendations for food and places to visit. Also the hostel had a swimming pool, sauna, gym, volleyball court, table tennis, pool table and a restaurant so it made making a great promotional video for them a lot easier. Plus we had something to do as well.
Anyway flights were £26 each plus driving from Newcastle Upon Tyne to London and back cost around £80 total. We parked at one of my friend's houses who was coming on the trip with us to save us money on parking at the airport, the only thing we needed was a taxi which cost us £30 and £30 back. Then £12 each for transfers from the airport to the hostel. So our holiday cost us £73 each without spending money.
Holiday experience:
I had a great time we walked around the city centre and then visited Old Town Square:

We were watching a few people who were on segways like the big massive commercial ones and someone let us have a go on one as he was trying to sell us a trip around prague on segways. We looked like immature kids on them but it was fun so we negotiate a price which was going to cost us £75 but we got it down to £36 which is a lot better prices than £75. This was a route that showed us the whole city. Charles bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral, Strahov Monastery Brewery.
Another day we visited Prague Zoological Garden which is in the top 5 Zoos in Europe. Understand why as they had animals in the same room as you so you can get close to them. Every animal was out and not hiding so we couldn't see as which is what is like in a lot of zoos.
